PROJECT BACKGROUND:
The project started 4 years ago and it was put on hold. The shoring was done and left unprotected for the whole period. Water was leaking from the secant piles and corrosion started in the reinforced ones.
GMC/Schneizer took over the site, did a full assessment for the shoring and the structural piles and proposed a remedy for the shoring repair and the water plugging and stoppage.
iFix SOLUTIONS:
1. Cavities injection using polyurethane reactive foam and PU
injection resin in addition to plugging mortars.
2. Repair of the corroded areas by breaking out the affected concrete and cleaning the steel then protect it with Zincrich material and reprofiling the prepared areas with micro concrete.
3. Finally the shoring was reinforced with an average 10 cm layer of reinforced shotcrete.
