PROJECT BACKGROUND:
Kifaf Development phase 2, is a high-rise building executed by Sang Yong under Atkins supervision. They faced a problem in the concrete slabs in the connecting bridge between the two buildings, where cracks developed.
GMC/Schneizer were invited by the concrete supplier to assess the situation and provide a technical solution to the problem.
iFix SOLUTIONS:
1. Highlight all the cracks that need to be injected.
2. Grind the concrete surface in the affected area to provide a proper mechanical key for the epoxy mortar.
3. Install the injection packers at 45 degrees angles at 2 to 3 cm away from the cracks.
4. Seal the crack surface with epoxy mortar to prevent the resin from flowing to the top of the slab.
5. Inject the structural epoxy resin and seal the crack permanently inside out.
